Apex headlamp from Princeton Tec.
The headlamp is very often chosen by cavers and rescuers due to its durable and waterproof construction, high power, long working time and as many as five different modes of operation.
The Apex model has a Maxbright LED diode, which is distinguished by a high, medium and low of light even at a distance of 120 meters. Four smaller additional Ultrabright LEDs emit light more diffused over a shorter distance.
Two rubber buttons located in the lower part of the housing are responsible for operating the headlamp and lighting modes.
The main Maxbright diode is programmed with three lighting modes - high, medium and low, the same applies to the Ultrabright diode, which has a mode - high, low and pulsating light.
The user can individually adjust the power of the headlamp, through to the light damping functionality
The flashlight and the battery compartment are waterproof to IPX7.
In the center of the container housing 4 AA batteries, a platinum neutralizer is installed, which is to counteract the accumulation inside of the hydrogen emitted by some types of batteries.
The headlamp is equipped with a battery level indicator and a Regulated LED system, whose task is to maintain a constant level of brightness as long as the battery level allows it.
For safety purposes, the Apex headlamp has a heat sink and a system that protects the flashlight from overheating, which will automatically reduce the power of the flashlight if the device overheats.
